17th Annual Lambing Flat Sculpture Wood & Big Art Exhibition Big Success

The 17th annual Lambing Flat Sculpture Wood and Big Art Exhibition was once again a big success.
The exhibition is part of the Hilltops Off The Beaten Track Art and Cultural Trail, opening on the 12th of March and running until the 23rd of March.

56 artists submitted their work to be a part of the huge exhibition, with over 700 visitors coming through the door to view the collection.

The 2D People’s Choice award was won by Robyn Wheeler for her painting ‘Sunset After the Rain.’

The 3D People’s Choice award was won by David Schulz for his sculpture ‘Anubis.’ Young Society of Artists (YSA) Publicity Officer Heather Ruhl said, “Over 700 visitors attended, supported by YSA members who managed the door and those who purchased art works.”

“YSA members wish to thank all those who participated in the event.”

Winner of the first raffle prize, which was a pyrography savory tray donated by Robin Moore was Suzanne Moore.

Margaret Rhodes won the second prize, which was a painting donated by Heather Ruhl.

Third prize was a pyrography lazy Susan donated by Young Society of Artists and was won by Margaret Atkinson.

Young Society of Artists have invited Denise Scholz-Wulfing and Kirsten Griffiths to exhibit their unique prints and etchings.

The prints and etchings were exhibited in the Boorowa Museum as part of the Hilltops Off The Beaten Track Art and Cultural Trail.

The official opening of the exhibition will be at 11am on April 12th with a morning tea. All are welcome to attend and view the collection.

The exhibition will be open daily from April 12th to May 23rd at Burrangong Gallery in the Young Visitors Centre.
