2019 Burrangong Picnic Races Huge Success

Beautiful conditions ensured the Burrangong Picnic Races held on Saturday were a huge success.

Burrangong Picnic Race Club Secretary Brenton Smyth was pleased with the success of the day, “The sun was out, which produced perfect conditions for an afternoon of spring racing. The atmosphere out at the Burrangong Race Club was everything the Committee hoped for, providing a great day out for the eager racegoer and families alike.”

Fashions on the Field was a particular stand out on the day, with exceptional numbers of nominations for each of the six categories. Ella Bache Young is thanked for generously providing the Club with judges and sponsorship.

“I can’t thank the overwhelming generosity of local businesses in town offering sponsorship and prizes to our Race Day. This is one of the backbone components to running a successful race day, it really reinforces the sense of community when people get behind events like these,” said Brenton.
