Author/Illustrator Visits Murrumburrah High School For Book Week

Murrumburrah Rotary Club has been busily involved in Book Week at all the schools in the Hilltops.

They’ve showed a new movie - Wilfrid Gordon MacDonald Partridge - released by the ABC for Book Week.

Students will take part in activities on the film with its Director.

Author/illustrator, Suzanne Houghton from Wagga was in the region on Tuesday and Wednesday this week, teaching primary school kids all about visual literacy.

Ms Houghton will conduct workshops at Murrumburrah High School with Years 7 and 8 and the Year 9/10 Art students today.

Rotary is also running a competition for the best illustrated short story in each year group.

All entries will be due on September 9.
