Boorowa Community Landcare Group Invites You To Its Agm

Boorowa Community Landcare Group will host its Annual General Meeting at Boorowa Ex-Services Club on Thursday, November 28 at 6 pm.

Amber Kelly said they currently had a very small committee, and would like to get more people to their events.

“We really encourage the community to come along,” Ms Kelly said.

“We’re here for the community. It’s so important to have a local landcare group.

There’s always money and things from the government, but having a local landcare group means things can be done in our area. We already live in a really beautiful area. A lot has already been done in the Boorowa area.”

Ms Kelly said whether it was helping our farmers or working with local schools, the group just wanted to be what the community needed when they needed it.

The guest speaker at this year’s AGM is Melissa Henry, Landcare’s South East Natural Capital Advisor. Ms Henry provides advice, information and workshops to build knowledge and confidence in natural capital and environmental markets.

She can help landholders understand the different types of natural capital landowners manage and help them make informed choices for their land and farm business. Farmers can learn how they can financially benefit from good environmental practices, and enhance both farm resilience and biodiversity.

Boorowa Community Landcare Group is a dynamic not-for-profit environmental organisation that has been serving the Boorowa community for the past 30-plus years.
