Christine Coble and Fiona Gorham serve up some delicious scones for Australia Day.

The lovely ladies at Boorowa CWA prepared a wonderful selection of scones, tea, coffee and baked goods for the Australia Day Ceremony.

While the Australia Day ceremony is important to many Boorowa locals, this event is especially close to the hearts of the CWA ladies as it commemorates the group’s major debut 12 months ago following their reunion.

The success of Australia Day 2023 encouraged these hard-working women to continue delivering their award-winning baked goods to the Boorowa community.

Boorowa CWA President, Belle Banks said it was events such as these that made her extremely proud to call herself a CWA member.

“The cookery ladies cannot be faulted,” Ms Banks said.

“Fiona Gorham and Christine Coble have moved mountains to make today happen and as a president I can’t thank them enough.”

The Boorowa CWA Australia Day team included their stellar cookery ladies, Fiona and Christine, as well as their treasurer, Jane Saillard, secretary Karen Smith, publicity officer Kristy Miller and president Belle Banks.

Everyone worked together to make the day go as smoothly as possible.

The Boorowa CWA would love to invite any women in the Hilltops region who want to make a difference in their communities to become part of a wonderful women-centred organisation that supports women to reach out through their Facebook page.

Extra woman-power is needed to support their extraordinary efforts.
