The Boorowa Gun Club will be hosting their biggest event of the year this weekend, with competition shooters descending on Boorowa from far and wide. The club expects people to attend from NSW, ACT, QLD, Victoria and South Australia.
It is looking at entering the weekend in fine form too, with Boorowa locals Glenn Barton being the O/A Double Winner, Grady Evans taking out the 2nd AA Double, and Justin Smith winning the 3rd AA Point Score at the recent Victorian State Championships.
The event will also feature over $4000 in prize money, thanks to the huge support the club has received in sponsorship.
Club representative Eddie Cummings said it was expected to be a massive event that would bring many people into Boorowa, and put it down to the advancements the club made in recent years.
“The Boorowa Gun Club has in recent years invested in new infrastructure, and has also has received government, council and community funding. This funding has fast tracked many of the new projects that have been undertaken. All these investments are now beginning to pay off,” he said.
“The Boorowa Gun Club is now known as a go-to destination within the competitive Clay target shooting community, attracting more people to the region each year.”
The prize money for the event will be awarded as follows:
