Boorowa Hospital Auxiliary has recently taken stock of the busy year they had in 2024.
Owing to her long term commitment to Boorowa Hospital Auxiliary, Greta Campbell was awarded UHANSW Life Membership.
Two admired and hardworking Auxiliary volunteers, Maureen Beere and Phoebe Stewart were farewelled after their many years of service to the Boorowa community.
On behalf of the Auxiliary, Jenny Carter successfully applied to host the Lexis Melbourne Cup Tour which saw the Melbourne Cup grace the town.
Boorowa Hospital Auxiliary spent much of 2024 on the fundraising trail, raising vital funds for the Hospital. Their main fundraisers were the Mother’s Day Stall, hosting the Lexis Melboune Cup Tour, Melbourne Cup High Tea, calendars sponsored by local businesses and their Christmas raffle.
Their amazing efforts resulted in a huge amount of purchases for Boorowa’s MPS, totalling $36,887.61.
Equipment bought for the MPS includes 4 lounge chairs, 3 Treadelen HiLo couches, 3 power lift chairs, 5 toilet aids, linen, aged residents Christmas vouchers, TV’s for residential aged care, Netflix subscription, 2 Aspire Mobile Air Chairs and footrest, Relief Chair and Footrest, annual water cooler rental, Hover Jack patient lift, Hover Mat lateral transfer and ARJO head raisers.

The Auxiliary is on the lookout for new members to join.
