(Right) It wouldn’t be the Boorowa Irish Wool Festival without the ever-popular Running of the Sheep.

What an amazing day in Boorowa on Sunday, October 6 at the annual Irish Wool Festival.

Thousands of people flocked to the town for the popular event, with loads of fun for everyone.

The grand blessing of the fleece took place at 11:45 am before the Street Parade and the ever popular Running of the Sheep.

Double Shot Maggie, followed by The Raglins rocked the music stage in the afternoon while roaming entertainers meandered through the crowds.

The wood choppers were in full swing and the working dog trials ran all day.

There was plenty of action to be seen and experienced at the shearing shack.

Kids were kept entertained with the petting zoo, art, rides and face painting.

There was plenty to explore at the Boorowa Museum for all the art-lovers out there.

People tried their luck with the Irish accent competition, while others learned to throw a fleece. With market stalls of all descriptions, food vendors galore and every store open for business, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
