After a successful Woolfest weekend, the Boorowa & District Historical Inc and Museum announced the winners of its raffle.

The winners were:

  • First prize - J Ball;
  • Second prize - Soss;
  • Third prize - Brigid Parkman;
  • Fourth prize - Patrick Downey; and
  • Fifth prize - Helen Pye.

Boorowa & District Historical Society Inc and Museum Secretary Sharon Meere said the Museum’s members expressed thanks to everyone who supported them by purchasing raffle tickets over the weekend.

“We raised just over a thousand dollars for the weekend, hectic but enjoyable,” Ms Meere said.

Boorowa Museum will celebrate its 50th birthday on November 9, with an open day from 10 am until 3 pm.

The day will include new displays to see, a barbecue, cake cutting and presentations to be held on the day.

There will be no cost to drop in and have a look during the open day, making it a perfect time to visit if you haven’t done so in a while.

On November 23, the Boorowa & District Historical Society Inc and Museum committee will host a trivia night as a fundraiser for the museum’s birthday at the ExServices Club, commencing at 6:30 pm.

The theme is “colourful”, so be sure to wear your brightest clothes and settle in for a great night.

Tables must be booked at the Club and food can be ordered on the night.
