Boorowa Rotary has installed more seating options throughout the town of Boorowa.

In recent weeks, Boorowa Rotary has installed new benches in a number of locations around the town so that people can stroll or cycle while stopping to rest and take in the picturesque surroundings.

Boorowa has a fantastic walking and cycling trail for residents and visitors alike, these seats will make these facilities much more accessible for a wider range of people.

A tremendous thank you to Rotarian Alan Banks and his son Joseph Banks, Nathan Taylor and his earthmoving business, and the Boorowa Men’s Shed who all contributed to the assembly of the seats.

The benches can be found on the River Walk, close to the golf club, on Ford Street, on Long Street close to Cemetery Road, and other areas where people can stroll or ride bicycles.

The installed seats stand out due to their placement and subdued colours because they are made of recycled materials.

Following the installation of the seats, Boorowa Rotary will plant trees roughly where the seats will be.

In the upcoming weeks, trees at the Community Garden will be planted in addition to those already provided for the Kindness Garden.

Boorowa Rotary is pleased to have offered this service to the community and hopes that the addition of more rest stops throughout the town will encourage more people to go biking or walking.

“Boorowa Rotary is proud to have provided this service for the community and hopes more people will take up walking or cycling now that there are additional rest areas around town,” said Boorowa Rotary Secretary, Jenny Carter.
