Boorowa Services Station Changes Hands
IMAGE: It’s a solemn time as Boorowa icons Dee and Stu sell the Boorowa Service Station after 15 years.
Local icons Dee and Stu have sold Boorowa Service Station to South West Fuel after 15 years at the helm.
A lovable larrikin, Stu will be missed by many regular customers and both he and Dee have expressed their gratitude for the friendships, laughs and loyalty they’ve experienced from their clientele over the years.
They are confident that the town will be left in good, caring hands, especially as South West Fuel is the only company they have purchased from and they intend making only minimal changes to the business.
“I believe South West Fuel want to continue the day-to-day running of the business as customers know it, with minimal change, just different faces to greet you,” Stu said.
Although a heartbreaking development for Boorowa, the sale is an exciting new time for Stu and Dee who aren’t yet sure what their future plans are, but intend to spend some quality time with each other and their beautiful family.
Locals aren’t sure what they will miss more - the amazing sandwiches stocked in the fridges or the two familiar faces standing behind the counter always ready for a good yarn.
Their last day of trading will be Sunday, August 23, so get in and have a chinwag before then.
The service station will be closed on Monday, August 28 for stocktake and South West Fuel will reopen on Tuesday, August 29.
The Boorowa community will forever be grateful for the opportunity to get to know Stu and Dee and will continue to support them whatever their next adventure may be.
