Boorowa Uniting Church: “Do You Hear What I Hear?”

Boorowa Uniting Church is holding a very special Christmas event this year.

The community is invited to come along and erect the life-sized nativity scene at the church.

Boorowa’s Lay Preacher, Bronwyn Fickel, explained, “We need some joy, peace, and happiness this Christmas. We’ve been under the spectre of COVID-19 for almost two years now. Jobs have been lost, and families have been under tremendous strain.”

“To enter into the spirit of Christmas, and to provide a slice of fun, we thought it would be a great idea to have an event based around our nativity scene.”

“We first erected our nativity scene two years ago and it proved to be a great attraction for families, with people stopping by and having their photos taken with it. This year we thought that we’d invite families to come along and help erect it.”

“But please don’t think this is a working bee! We will also have a lovely party with cool soft drinks, lollies, and games to play,” Bronwyn said.
