Following recent rainfall, Council has lowered water restrictions in Boorowa from Level 2, back to Level 1.
“We have been watching the water supply level very closely, particularly following the long dry period we have had. Due to a recent significant rain event, the weir pool water level has risen allowing Council to be in a position to reduce water restrictions in accordance with the Boorowa Drought Management Plan. We will continue to monitor the situation carefully to ensure the ongoing management of water requirements for the Boorowa community,” Hilltops General Manager Edwina Marks said.
Despite water restrictions being reduced, residents across the Hilltops region are asked to continue be mindful of their water usage and are encouraged to do all they can to be water wise. Hilltops Council is a member of Smart Water Advice, a range of tips and resources to help save water in the home, garden and at work are available on Council’s website www.hilltops.nsw.gov.au
