The annual Bribbaree Show was awarded the AgShows NSW 2022 Resilience Award at a gala dinner held in Dubbo earlier this month.

The award recognises a show that demonstrated resilience during 2022. Bribbaree Show Secretary, Emma Whitechurch said with a new executive committee, the 2022 Bribbaree Show went ahead.

“The feedback we received after the show - from both visitors and exhibitors - was that the 2022 Bribbaree Show offered a real country show experience,” Ms Whitechurch said.

“Our children’s running races, farmers’ challenge and tug of war drew crowds like never seen before.”

“Our new poultry shed and bar area were well utilised throughout the day, and the Show Society’s new logo was featured throughout the day on signs, buildings and committee members’ shirts.”

“All showing that little towns can achieve big things.”

They will receive a boost of $2000 to their funds for the 2023 show as part of their prize.

Ms Whitechurch said the award, and the show itself, would not have been possible without the dedication of the Show’s committee, the valued sponsors, and the passion from the Bribbaree community.

She added that the local pub ran the bar, the local school ran the canteen, and the local ag supply store ran the crop competition, making it a true community event.

Contact Ms Whitechurch at 0497 115 568 if you would like to be involved with the 2023 Bribbaree Show to be held on Saturday, September 30.
