Burrangong Picnic Races Return

After a three-year hiatus, due to a mix of COVID-19 restrictions and poor weather, the much-anticipated Burrangong Picnic Races are back, promising a fantastic day of racing on Saturday, October 7 at 604 Milvale Road, Young.
President of the Burrangong Picnic Race Club Committee, Nick Duff expressed his enthusiasm for the long-awaited event. “The Committee and I are so excited to finally host a race meet and we hope the community gets behind this cracker day after the long break,” Mr Duff said.
Gates will swing wide at 12 noon, inviting race enthusiasts and their families to enjoy the excitement of the races.
With a jam-packed schedule of entertainment, attendees can enjoy a six-race program, with the first race scheduled to kick off at 1:15 pm.
Festivities will continue into the evening with live band ‘Metropolis” set to perform from 5 pm.
There will be free face painting and a jumping castle for the kids, too. The Burrangong Picnic Races are currently offering online entry tickets priced at $20 each.
Tickets will be $25 at the gate on the day, and only cash will be accepted.
Children under 16 years of age will enter free of charge.

Buses will be available to shuttle attendees from the Australian Hotel from 11:45 am and returning through the evening for those looking for transportation.
