Burrowa House Auction And Masquerade Cocktail Party Raises Huge Total

A fantastic night was had by all as well as a huge total raised for Burrowa House.
The Burrowa House Auction and Masquerade Cocktail Party is the main fundraiser for the year for Burrowa House and it certainly delivered, raising a huge total.
Fundraising Coordinator Sharee Darmody was pleased with the success of the night.
“Boorowa and surrounding community spirit once again helped our auction to be such a success, raising $32,911.00 for the night in total.”
“This amount was with raffles, selling masks and donations as well as the auction.”
140 people attended the fundraising event from all ages.
The event was an opportunity to get dressed up as well as support a great cause.
“Everyone was dressed up with their masks and the event at the Ex-Services club looked fabulous.”
“The Burrowa House Masks were a hit, with many people buying them at the door.”
“These masks where made by the Burrowa House staff and residents,” said Ms Darmody.
There were plenty of prizes to be won, including those based on outfit such as Best Dressed With Matching Mask and Most Unusual Mask so it paid to dress your best.
Most Unusual Mask went to Pip Merriman.
Best Dressed Outfit With Matching Mask went to Debbie Dowling.
Gus Clements won the Lucky Door Prize and Tegan Hengen was the winner of the raffle.
Both the delicious food and live entertainment were talking points of the evening.
“The canapes made by chef Joe Duffy were a hit and had rave reviews from all.”
“Many saying that they were the best canapes they had ever had,” said Ms Darmody.
“The band were amazing and everyone loved them.”
“The Ex-Services Club staff were exceptional and had bubbly and wine flowing all night while also making sure everyone had an array of delectable canapes.”
The evening was a huge success and has received fantastic feedback from attendees.
“We have had many texts, phone calls, saying what a great night it was. So much fun,” said Ms Darmody.
