Who would’ve thought that a bit of cake could be a successful way to raise money?
The Boorowa Hospital Auxiliary volunteers, that’s who.
Their Mother’s Day Cake Stall raised over $1,600 towards their goal of purchasing a Hover Jack for the Boorowa MPS.
It would seem there are quite a few members of the Boorowa community with a sweet tooth that just couldn’t be ignored.
Raffle winners were:
- First prize - Ann Corcoran;
- Second prize - Gay Stanford; and
- Third prize - Mark Dwyer.
The Auxiliary members thanked everyone who contributed items to sell and those who purchased goodies and raffle tickets on the day.
Thanks must also go to the members of the Auxiliary who volunteer their time and talents to work towards building a better community for everyone in Boorowa.
The cake stall brought them one step closer to achieving their goal.
