Centenary Celebrations For Wombat Soldiers Memorial Hall This Weekend

Hear ye! Hear ye! Residents past and present will celebrate the Centenary of Wombat Soldiers Memorial Hall on Saturday, July 29 from 3 pm.

The Wombat Progress Association has invited everyone to join in the festivities and President, Chris Holmes said he was hoping to have a good display of memorabilia from the past one hundred years.

“If you have any memorabilia on the hall bring it along on the day or email it to wombatprogress@gmail.com so it can be printed and displayed on the day,” Mr Holmes said.

The afternoon will include the unveiling of the Centenary plaque at 3:30 pm followed by an afternoon tea/sausage sizzle. People are asked to bring along a plate for afternoon tea.
