Cherry Festival Photographic Exhibition Officially Opens This Weekend

The Cherry Festival Photographic Exhibition will officially open on Sunday, November 24 at 2:30 pm, upstairs in the Flamingos Room, at the Young Services Club.

A $5 entry fee includes refreshments. The Young Camera Club’s exhibition runs from Monday, November 25 to Sunday, December 1, with a $2 entry fee. This exhibition will be open from 10 am to 4 pm, except for Sunday, December 1 which will be open from 10 am to 2 pm.

President of the Young Camera Club Trevor Saulkes said it was gearing up to be another great exhibition. “We were up 70-odd entries this year,” Mr Saulkes said.

“We got 376 photos. We do pride ourselves on being the premier exhibition of the area. We get interest from all over Australia and as far afield as Canada. We get a decent number of people at the event and try to put on a decent show. We give a quality exhibition.”

The Champion Print, Junior Champion Print, Junior Encouragement Award and other awards will be presented by a Director of the Southwest Bank on Sunday. Results from the Club’s November monthly competition:
