Cootamundra vs Harden

Raising the Oilsplus South West Rugby Cup trophy next week as both minor and major premiers is the dream of Harden Red Devils captain Jack Alcorn.
Boorowa Goldies hosted the Devils last Saturday, with a try in it at the end of the qualifying semi final.
Harden won 32 - 27.
Alcorn said Boorowa played well and the scoreline reflected the action on the field.
The game mostly went try for try, before Harden snuck an extra one in to take a 10 point lead.
And then Boorowa scored on the bell.
“They tested both our defense and attack all the way through the game. I’d like to think we did the same too,” Alcorn said.
He said the boys are very happy and are still running on a high.
“It’s a great confidence booster. Beating a team like Boorowa is no easy feat,” he said.
They take on the Cootamundra Tri Colours in this weekend’s grand final. The Devils did lose their first semi final to them, so it’ll be an interesting game to watch.
Alcorn said it’s been a pretty tough season at times, and commended both the men and women’s teams.
“We had a fair few injuries at the beginning and the players are just coming good now. The competition has become a lot more even,” he said.
The game will be live streamed by Central West Rugby. Head to the Harden Red Devils Facebook page for more information closer to the day.
