CWA News From Canimbla And Southwest Group

On the 11th of March, members from Canimbla Country Women’s Association (CWA) branch ran a Dorsett Button workshop.

The workshop was held in the Ngulaway Room, next to the library and was part of Senior’s Week.

Publicity Officer Margie Clarke said, “Attendees had fun and lovely buttons were made.”

“Canimbla member Rhonda Sellenthin ran the day in her usual efficient, helpful way.”

On the 15th of March, Southwest Group held a Handicraft and Land Cookery Day at Morongla.

Six branches attended the day, with members from Cowra, Canimbla, Grenfell Evening, Harden, Morongla and Young all attending.

“The talent by both the handicraft and land cookery ladies was outstanding.”

“Many beautiful articles were displayed with several on their way to State Conference in May.”

“Morongla won on points for the day and the ladies of Morongla once again provided a delicious morning tea and lunch.”
