Congratulations to Damien Miller on winning the Club Singles for third consecutive year.
Damien played Peter Watts in the final on Saturday afternoon. He led 15–4 after 12 ends and 19–10 after 17 ends.
The final score was 25–14 in Damien’s favour.
On Thursday afternoon 16 players were involved in Jackpot Bowls.
Most games had close finishes with Cary Peters and Darryle Miller winning the vouchers with a margin of 10 shots.
They finished just in front of Max Penfold and Tony Ruhl who had a 9 shot margin.
Brian Christie and Geoff Holt won their game by 7 shots and Brian March and Cliff Traynor won by 4 shots.
On Thursday night, the final of the Guy Pickering Charity Challenge was played between the TGs team of Graham Adams, Geoff Ray and Kevin Bryant from the Wednesday division and the FATBBOTS team of Craig Watson, Col McIver and Jono Watson from the Thursday division.
For the first half of the game the scores were close with FATBBOTS leading 5–4 after 6 ends.
The FATBBOTS dominated the scoring in the second part of the game to win 15–5.
Well done to both teams on winning their division and thanks to all the players who participated for the eight weeks of the competition.
There were 18 players for Jackpot Bowls on Saturday afternoon. Michael Webb and Vic Brown were the winners of the vouchers with a margin of 17 shots.
Other winning teams and their margins were Brian Christie, Max Penfold and Col Chapman (13 shots), Steve Munce and Geoff Holt (6 shots) and Scott Douglas and Alan Gall (5 shots).
A number of social groups were on the greens on Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and evening and again on Sunday.
Men’s play will continue on Thursday and Saturday afternoons during the remainder of December and throughout January.
Players should check the notice board for details of the Zone 8 Triples Championships with entries closing on Friday 13th January.
