Harden’s Elke Cleverdon is elected to Cattle Australia’s Board of Directors for 2025 alongside David Foote, Garry Edwards, Bryce Camm, George King, Adam Coffee and James Bowie.

Harden’s Elke Cleverdon has been re-elected to the 2025 Board and Regional Consultative Committee of Cattle Australia (CA).

Grassfed beef producers from across the country converged on Tamworth last month for the Cattle Australia’s annual general meeting, while others attended online to meet their 2025 representatives.

Two elected director positions were contested through CA’s election process, with Adam Coffey from the North Australia Beef Research (NABR) Region and Garry Edwards from the South Australia Livestock Research (SALR) Region both re-elected.

Eight RCC positions were contested, with two representatives re-elected, five new representatives joining the committee, and one vacancy filled. Ms Cleverdon said she was excited to have been re-elected.

“I truly enjoy my role on Cattle Australia and as a national peak body for the grassfed cattle industry, we are gaining momentum and having some wins,” she said.

Cattle Australia’s chief executive officer Dr Chris Parker said the board of directors and RCC had achieved great things in 2024, with the new and re-elected representatives set to build on a solid foundation in the year ahead.

“The election of the inaugural RCC in 2024 was an important milestone in CA’s evolution as a democratic representative body, and we thank the outgoing representatives for their contributions to the organisation and the grassfed beef industry,” Dr Parker said.

“The incoming representatives bring with them a wealth of knowledge and diverse experiences across our dynamic sector, and we look forward to their insights helping us make an impact on the Australian grassfed beef industry, now and for future generations.”
