NESCAFE-BLEND-43-Boorowa

There was good news in Boorowa this week as it was announced that Nestlé Professional selected Boorowa as one of the towns to be featured on its 1kg Nescafé Blend 43 coffee tins as part of the new Celebrate Australia collection.

Nestlé is partnering with Rotary Clubs to support local communities. The organisation heard about Boorowa Rotary and its strong commitment to support local community organisations.

In fact, Boorowa Rotary recently donated $60,000 to various organisations such as the Boorowa Early Education Centre and Boorowa Central School: money which was principally raised through the popular Boorowa Op Shop.

The Celebrate Australia campaign has kick-started by celebrating Boorowa’s iconic Irish Woolfest on the new limited-edition coffee tins. Nestlé Professional Oceania General Manager Scott Stuckmann said, “The Boorowa Irish Woolfest was chosen to feature on our tins as it displays incredible community spirit. This iconic event brings joy to the thousands of Aussies who come together, celebrating what makes the town so special.”

Margaret Roles, Mayor of Hilltops Council, said, “It’s wonderful to see the essence of our community recognised on the new Nescafé Blend 43 tins.”

“The Irish Woolfest is engrained in our town and seeing the spirit of our community immortalised on these tins means a lot to us as a great long-lasting keepsake,” concluded Mayor Roles.

As part of the celebration of Aussie community spirit and stories, Nestlé Professional has donated $5,000 to the Boorowa Rotary Club to help support a local initiative.

According to Jenny Carter, Secretary of the Boorowa Rotary Club, this donation will be used to build seats made from recycled materials that will be located in popular walking tracks around town.

Alongside the donation, Nestlé Professional has given the Boorowa Rotary Club 384 limited-edition Nescafé Blend 43 Boorowa tins, which the Club plans to sell for a very reasonable $40 each at the upcoming Woolfest (Sunday, 2nd October 2022).
