You are invited to the 13th annual Wattle Day event in Grenfell.
Hear from local wattle champion Mickla Lewis OAM, and learn about the dynamic role wattles play in out ecosystems, the valuable production and conservation benefit of planting wattles and see the results of direct seeding.
Learn more about whole of paddock rehabilitation projects over five and 12 years.
Ms Lewis said that the event never seems to lose its popularity. “The wattles are looking fabulous on our place as buds are opening and will be full flower by Friday week,” Ms Lewis said.
Morning tea and lunch will be provided and all participants will receive a free wattle to take home.
Participants are encouraged to wear something yellow or wattle-related.
There will be a prize for the best dressed.
The event will be held at Ms Lewis’ property, Rosemont on Holy Camp Road in Grenfell from 9:30 am to 11:30 am on Friday, August 23.
Participants are welcome to remain until 3 pm if they wish.
