Entries Open For Cherry Festival Exhibition

The entry form is now out for the Young Camera Club’s 26th Cherry Festival Photographic Competition and Exhibition.

Some of the 13 categories include people, macro/closeup, birds, animals, architecture/design, landscape, waterscape, local entry and open and junior sections.

The usual prizes will be awarded, including:

  • The Will Sibley Memorial Trophy (Champion Print);

  • The Helen Berridge Memorial Trophy (Junior Champion Print);

  • The John van Rijswijk Memorial Encouragement Trophy (for a junior entrant); and

  • The People’s Choice Award.

Entries close on Friday, October 25.

Entry forms can be collected from the Young Visitor Information Centre or found on Facebook under Young Camera Club.

The official opening will be held on Sunday, November 24 at the Young Services Club, with the exhibition running until Sunday, December 1.

Take this opportunity to be a part of the exhibition by putting in your entries and visiting the exhibition.

Young Camera Club encourages fun, friendship and learning.

The Club’s next monthly meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 11 at 6:30 pm at the Club Room, 2 Campbell Street (next to Green Ivy Cafe), with supper provided.
