Entries to the Young Camera Club’s 25th annual Cherry Festival Photographic Competition and Exhibition are officially open.
With 13 categories, including people, macro/closeup, birds, animals, architecture/design, landscape/waterscape, creative, local entry, and open and junior sections, there is something to suit just about every photographer’s personal taste.
The Club would like to see as many photographers and budding photographers take the opportunity to enter a snapshot in this year’s milestone event.
The Will Sibley Memorial Trophy (Champion Print), Helen Berridge Memorial Trophy (Junior Champion) and the John van Rijswijk Memorial Encouragement Trophy (for a junior entrant) will be awarded to winners. The coveted People’s Choice Award will also be up for grabs.
Entries close on October 20, so pick up your entry form from the Young Visitor Information Centre, visit the Young Camera Club Facebook page or download here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ljjR25EWwRYlv2FONdWe5jLHBIltiVoO/view
Once entries have been received, the official opening will take place on Sunday, November 26 at the Young Services Club, with the exhibition continuing until Sunday, December 3.
The Young Camera Club meets monthly and encourages fun, friendship and learning.
Their next meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 11 at 6:30 pm. Contact Trevor on 0414 649 500 for further information, and don’t forget to take the opportunity to enter this year’s 25th annual competition and to visit the resulting exhibition.
