Crime writer, Siobhan Mullany returns to Young to present her Murder, Mystery and Mayhem (Part 2) workshop.

They had such a successful workshop earlier this year, that the Lambing Flat Young FAW Writers Group has invited crime writer Siobhan Mullany to return to present the second part.

To be held at the Young Services Club on Saturday, September 30 from 10 am to 3 pm, the Murder, Mystery And Mayhem (Part 2) Crime Writing Workshop costs just $20.

Lunch can be purchased at your own expense.

Writers of all levels are welcome to attend the second session which will deal with plot development.

Before that, though, Ms Mullany will recap some of the points covered in the last workshop on character development.

Opportunities to learn from seasoned, award-winning published authors and reviewers such as Mullany don’t come around every day, so writers and aspiring scribes should take advantage while they can.

The daughter of Dr Michael and Bernadette Mullany, Ms Mullany grew up in Young and attended St Anne’s Infants School, St Mary’s Primary and High School before completing her education at St Vincent’s in Sydney before going on to Sydney University to study law.

Over the years, she has represented clients in murder trials where the facts are more incredible than fiction.

Her non-fiction has been published in legal journals and she reviews TV crime shows.

Ms Mullany is the current NSW Co-ordinator of Sisters in Crime Australia Chapter, a group formed in 1991 to share their passion for crime writing.

Register your attendance at the workshop via email to lambingflatbranchfaw@hotmail.com or phoning Maree Myhill at 0427 017 884 or Hilda Fitzgerald at 0437 895 359.
