Boorowa Fire & Rescue Station included an awards presentation with their Christmas party this year.
Numerous medals were awarded, including years of service medals up to 45 years through to the National Emergency Medal.
Chris Howlett received his Fire Medal for his first 10 years of service to the Station.
Dalwyn Taylor was awarded the first clasp for his Fire Medal, representing 20 years of service.
Desi Grimson was awarded his third clasp for his National Service Medal for his very admirable 45 years of service.
Retained firefighters Krissy Halls, Vince Lesslie, Chris Grimson, Bailey Howlett and Chris Howlett were all presented with the National Emergency medal.
The National Emergency Medal is awarded to people who rendered sustained or significant service during the bushfires in 2019-2020.
The significant service criteria stipulate that the service must be extraordinary.
Each nomination is considered on a case-by-case basis by a committee before the decision to recommend the nominee to the Governor-General.
Medals were presented in a modest ceremony at the Boorowa Fire and Rescue Station 232 Christmas party.
