Fresh ideas and diversity for Hilltops

Mary Dodd believes Council needs fresh ideas and diversity of experiences so that we have different perspectives, different ideas and different questions.

“I moved to Hilltops from the village of Robertson, with my husband and three young sons nearly 20 years ago. Having been involved with various P&Cs and sporting groups, I am still treasurer at New Life Community Church and currently secretary on the board of Young Regional Conservatorium. I am a competent user of office technology, enjoy reading and learning, and have worked as a primary teacher and in office administration,” said Mary.

As a candidate, Mary offers:

Integrity - Commitment of time and effort to formal Council tasks such as meetings and informal community consultation.

Collaboration - Using community expertise, creativity and knowledge; and a willingness to keep listening and talking until we come up with the best solutions, both within the Council and the community.

Sustainability - Long term proactive thinking; considering renewables, recycling, and the environmental impacts of every Council decision; planned growth and development based on future needs.

“We are a growing region with much to offer and I am keen to be part of the next Hilltops Council team.”
