Funding For NSW Seniors Festival Events Now Open
Member for Cootamundra, Steph Cooke encourages local organisations, groups and councils to apply for grants to host events during 2025 NSW Seniors Festival.
Grants are now open for the NSW Seniors Festival Grant Program, which provides $200,000 in funding for community programs and activities that enable older Australians to remain active, healthy and enjoyed during the NSW Seniors Festival.
Member for Cootamundra, Steph Cooke has encouraged local organisations and groups to apply for grants of up to $5000 and local councils to apply for grants of up to $10,000 to host events during 2025 NSW Seniors Festival.
“The NSW Seniors Festival is a time when the community comes together to recognise and celebrate the incredible contribution older people make to our community,” Ms Cooke said.
“This grant funding will help local organisations and local councils arrange events for older people right across the Cootamundra electorate.
“Hosting an event is a great away to show appreciation as well as help older people stay active.
“The NSW Seniors Festival is the largest celebration for older people in the Southern hemisphere.
“This Grants Program helps ensure everyone, no matter where you are across the seat of small communities, everyone can enjoy the celebration.”
In 2025 NSW Seniors Festival Grants Program will focus on events that are public, held in regional or remote areas, tailored to culturally and linguistically diverse and Aboriginal communities, and offer unique and engaging intergenerational activities.
Projects must be located within NSW and conducted between March 3 and March 16.
Applications for the 2025 NSW Seniors Festival Grants Program are now open and close on Friday, September 6.
