Trick or treaters will be roaming around next Thursday night as the spookiest night of the year - Halloween - gets underway.

Boorowa spooks will be trick or treating from 4 pm until 6 pm on Thursday, and organiser Amanda Ingall said she was currently collating her list.

“We’ve got a few new participants this year, which is always exciting,” Amanda said.

“Trick or treating will be between 4 and 6 pm.”

“We start early on school nights for the young ones.”

“Hopefully the weather will be kind and we’ll have another successful year.”

Anyone interested in participating can message Amanda on Facebook and participate in the following ways:

  • Nominate your address to hand out treats;

  • Nominate your address and leave treats out for people to help themselves;

  • Walk with a treat bucket to share with others; or

  • Make a donation of treats that can be handed out at an address.

“It’s always a spooktacular afternoon and the more addresses the better,” Amanda said.

“We usually see between 150 to 200 trick or treaters.”

“It’s always fun trying to plan for something that can fluctuate from year to year.”

Boorowa Library will put on a Halloween Party on Monday, October 28 from 3:30 pm.

Young PCYC will host its Halloween Party on Friday, November 1 from 6:30 pm to 8 pm.

This party does cost $10 per person, but includes a sausage sizzle dinner for the screaming banshees and other scary types in residence on the night.
