Caring for her family and saving for the future are plans for a very lucky, Lucky Lotteries winner.

A woman from Young won $100,000 in Super Jackpot draw 10458, drawn Tuesday May 4 2021.

She bought her ticket from Townhall Newsagency in Boorowa Street.

“After the lady in the newsagency checked the ticket, she went completely blank for a few seconds,” the winner said.

“Then she started looking at the ticket and reading the screen and then looked back at me. Then she told me she needed to tell me something privately.”

The winner started crying while ringing her husband.

“He thought there was something wrong, but I said it was the opposite and then I told him what happened.”

Townhall Newsagency owner Pauline Cottrell said she was ecstatic. “It creates such a buzz when someone wins! I think we get just as excited as we suspect the winners do,” Mrs Cottrell said.

“We are over the moon for our winner and do wish her all the best with her prize.”

Last financial year, Australia’s Official Lotteries contributed more than $1.4 billion via state lottery taxes and donations to help community initiatives, such as hospitals, health research, disaster relief and education.
