Golf: Small Club Pennants

On the 23rd of April, the Boorowa Golf Club hosted the second round of the Small Clubs Pennants in ideal weather and on a superbly prepared course.

The Matchplay results were as follows:

• Boorowa defeated Binalong 3 games to 2
• Bigga defeated Cloverleigh 3.5 games to 1.5

After two rounds the Matchplay table stands at:

• Boorowa 13 points
• Bigga 11 points
• Binalong 10 points
• Cloverleigh 6 points

Combined Stableford Points thus far are:

• Bigga 58
• Binalong 35
• Boorowa 22
• Cloverleigh 7

Overall individual winners on the day were:

• Men’s Jeff Ridely 39 points
• Women’s Felicity Corcoran 29 points
• Men’s r/u Kurt Berry 37 points
• Women’s r/u Hazel Gardiner 25 points.

Following the presentation, special thanks was given to Roger Green for preparing lunch, to Sharon Webster for catering, Roger Mason for being chief organiser, and to President Mark Spulnik for all his hard work and commitment. Thanks also went to Steve Pescud for the greens, Mark Smith for the tees, and Mark Spulnik, Roger Green, and Richard Hall for their continuing hard work on the course.
