Grab Your Entry Form To The Annual Sculpture Wood And Big Art Exhibition
IMAGE: The Annual Sculpture Wood and Big Art Exhibition forms the centrepiece of the Hilltops Off The Beaten Track program.
If you intend to enter a piece in the 15th Annual Sculpture Wood and Big Art Exhibition or the Children’s Portrait Exhibition you need to do so soon.
Entries are due by the end of the month.
The Young Society of Artists Inc has asked children to present a portrait painting of a friend, family member, animal or hero as the subject of their entry.
Entry forms for both exhibitions can be collected from the Southern Cross Cinema, Young Town Hall and Young Visitors Centre.
Both exhibitions also form part of the Hilltops Off the Beaten Track Art and Cultural Trail, a partnership between the Young Society of Artists Inc, Hilltops Council, Hilltops Arts Inc and Southern Tablelands Arts.
The event will run from March 9 to 23 showcasing the vibrant arts and culture offerings across the Hilltops region.
Over the two weeks, participating creatives, galleries, gardens and home studios will be open to the public.
Off the Beaten Track will entice art and culture lovers to the region and provide a platform for artists working in various mediums, including painting, sculpture, photography, jewellery, leather, ceramics, metal and mixed media to show their creations.
This event is also an opportunity to meet the artists face-to-face and discover what inspires them to create and to pick up an original artwork to take home.
Community groups also feature in the program with events like Silo Sounds, a musical performance by children from Murrumburrah Public School and Trinity Catholic Primary School, the Southern Cross Cinema movie program, and Farmers Markets.
The Harmony Day Dinner and Dance presented by the Young and District Multicultural Association, St Patrick’s Day Celtic Performance, the “Burrangong Gold” writing competition and so much more will be included.
