Harden cattle farmers, Elke and Charlie Cleverdon played host to a delegate from France last week.

Part of Ms Cleverdon’s role on the peak body for Cattle Australia is to promote trade and open up opportunities for market trade.

While Australia has secured UK free trade, they are currently working on EU free trade.

Counsellor of Agriculture, Vincent Hebrail, vet intern, Alexi Millot, and intern on biodiversity, Guillaume Rey from France found the visit fascinating.

They were joined by a small delegation from Europe - Cornelis Keijzer, Minister, Counsellor, Trade Section and Rudaralingum Coopamootoo, Trade Advisor.

French delegate, Vincent Hebrail said they got some great insights on animal welfare, sustainability and agritech with optiweight benefits over the weekend.

“Thank you very much for hosting us so well,” Mr Hebrail said.
