Harden Debutante Ball Another Huge Success
Harden’s debutantes and their escorts enjoyed their special night. Left to Right - Erin Abnett and Jaydon Millar, Isabella Hardy and Jakoby Mounsey, Brooke Emms and B-Jay Skinner, Sara Collins and Sean Thomson, Amber McKay and Riley Craw, Jamie Merton and Tim Kain, Brooklyn Gadd and Leon Auld and Samantha Beal and Mikalah Diblasio.
Eight beautiful young ladies made their debut at the annual Harden Debutante Ball held at the Mechanic’s Institute last month.
Each debutante was accompanied by a male escort.
Michelle Howe, member of Harden Can Assist and their sub-committee that organises the annual debutante ball said numbers were a bit down this year.
“We had about 112 guests,” Ms Howe said.
“If we stay at around eight young ladies, it’s pretty comfortable for us.”
“We’re a small community.”
Ms Howe said some people were unable to attend this year due to the rising costs of living and it was hoped that they would all be able to make the next one.
While tallying of the monies raised has not yet been finalised, organisers do know that the event raised well over $6,000 clear with the raffle.
There were massive prizes donated by businesses from across the Hilltops.
“The first prize was valued at over $14,000,” Ms Howe said.
The sub-committee does all of the organising for the debutante ball, including decorating, and reports back to Harden CanAssist.
