The tally is in - 4,600 bodies walked through the gates of the Harden Kite Festival (HKF) on Saturday, October 12.
HKF Committee President Kat O’Connor said it was an absolutely fantastic day, with an amazing turnout.
“I think we had around 200 volunteers on the day, which is just brilliant.
“Personally, I think the Kapooka Army Band and the Prosperous Mountain Lion Dancers from Canberra were definitely a highlight, though the main one for me was just seeing the wonder on children’s faces when they’d see the massive kites up in the air.”
Ms O’Connor said that it took quite a bit of planning to achieve such a successful event.
“Planning for next year - which will be our 20th - will begin officially in March, but the committee and I are already thinking about next year and how we can continue to bring this amazing Festival to our community,” she said.
