Harden Murrumburrah Lights Shine Bright This Christmas

Think back to your favourite Christmas memories - how many of them include taking in the Christmas lights with your family on Christmas Eve and perhaps enjoying an icecream at the same time?

It’s a time-honoured Aussie tradition - kids’ eyes glowing at the sight, exclaiming in wonder every now and then.

Gather the family and take a stroll or drive around Harden Murrumburrah and take in the twinkling Christmas light displays.

Twenty-four homes and four businesses have registered their light displays for 2024.

Harden Murrumburrah Regional Development Corporation’s Antonia Brown said it was very exciting. “Most people have some lights up,” Ms Brown said. “It’s all a bit of fun.”

Make sure to share your photos of your favourite lights on Harden Murrumburrah Regional Development Corporation’s Facebook page. Winners will be announced at the Harden Murrumburrah Markets on Sunday, December 15.

Of course, the Markets will have something for those last-minute gift-buys for those difficult people on your shopping list.

Marto’s Electrical is one of the four businesses registered for the light competition and they’ve invited residents to drop in for a merry selfie with Santa and tag them on Facebook for a chance to win a $50 gift card.

They are also offering a hamper for the most creative selfie entry, with winners drawn at random on Tuesday, December 24 - Christmas Eve.
