Harden Pony Club Hosts Community Fair As Part Of Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour

IMAGE: Harden Pony Club invites the community to enjoy a community fair on Tuesday, July 9 from 2 pm to 5 pm and take the opportunity to get a snap with The Melbourne Cup trophy.

In the excitement of the upcoming Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour, Harden Pony Club has organised an afternoon delight for the whole community on Tuesday, July 9.

President of the Pony Club, Courtney Jones said they were excited to be part of the tour and host the Melbourne Cup trophy.

“We are delighted to be able to put on the community fair for all ages in our community to enjoy,” Ms Jones said.

“There will be face painting, pony rides and a jumping castle, each for a gold coin donation.”

“We have all the schools and a lot of community sporting groups on board to make sure there is plenty to each and activities to do.”

“The Murrumburrah High School will be offering a delicious afternoon tea in the new Secretary’s building on the grounds with beautiful views from the warmth within the building.”

“We have a coffee van, the Light Horse Hotel is doing burgers, the junior league doing hot dogs, Trinity School with their delicious hot cinnamon donuts, MPS with a lolly and market stall, HYAG youth group with fairy floss. Bunyip Preschool will have plenty of activities and a sandpit for the kids.”

“We have many market stalls booked in to come from metal garden art to lavender, soaps and sauces.”

Barwang Wines will also be present with wine tasting.

A fabulous grand parade of local equine groups will commence at 3 pm.

There will also be the meet and greet and photo opportunity with the 2024 Lexus Melbourne Cup for a gold coin donation from 3:15 pm to 4:30 pm on the verandah of the Secretary’s office.

This community event will take place at the Murrumburrah Showgrounds on Tuesday, July 9 from 2 pm to 5 pm.

Ms Jones said she would love to see as many people as possible bring their family and friends for an unforgettable day of fun, excitement and community spirit.

“I would love to see as many people as possible support this great event for our wonderful community,” she said.

“We at Harden Pony Club have worked really hard to put this event on for everyone to enjoy, now we just need you to support us back. Entry to the fair is free.”

To round the day out, the club has arranged a dinner at the Harden Country Club.

“The dinner at the Harden Country Club is set to be fabulous,” Ms Jones said.
