HMAC Festival Of Arts Puts Together Outstanding Exhibition

Dottie Le Sage wins the major prize at the Harden Murrumburrah Arts Council Festival with her painting Over the Hill.
The Harden Murrumburrah Arts Council Festival of Arts held its opening night on Friday, October 20 and was open from 10 am and 4 pm on Saturday and Sunday.
The well-attended event was officially opened by Mayor Margaret Roles.
Karen Ball, a Sydney-based visual artist with 40 years of experience as a practicing artist, judged the works.
She has a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Hons 1) and a Master of Visual Arts from Sydney College of the Arts (University of Sydney).
Karen gave the audience detailed reasons behind her judging decisions. The major prize, the GO Kruger Memorial Prize was awarded to Dottie Le Sage for her painting ‘Over the Hill’.
The exhibition continues next weekend, from 10 am to 4 pm each day. Many of the paintings are for sale with nine sold so far.
