The 2024 SSSMC Toy Run/Donation Run and Family Day was another huge success on Saturday, December 14.

Soaring temperatures were not enough to stop the Sacred Syndicate Social Motorcycle Club (SS SMC) and the more than 400 locals that showed up for the 2024 Hilltops Toy Run/Donation Run and Family Day on Saturday, December 14.

SS SMC President, Vinnie said the day was outstanding - hot, but outstanding.

“Days like Saturday require a lot of organisation and I have people who are ready to act with a moment’s notice to get the job done,” Vinnie said.

“To see everyone coming together that might never have come together otherwise, is great.”

“We had people travel from Bathurst and Tumut.”

“We get people coming from all different places, travelling two hours plus to join us.”

“Boorowa Central School was great - Taryn and her team smashed out heaps and heaps of food.”

“The firies ran out of food - I saw one of them with a trolley full of meat.”

Santa dropped in and handed out the kids’ raffles.

Vinnie gave a shout out to the HIlltops Community Hub.

“Naomi and her team put on a great fun day at Anderson Park.”

Vinnie thanked everyone who donated and attended the ride - there were more than 50 vehicles on the day - and they raised over $2600 across the day.

Money and toys donated, went towards helping:

  • Hilltops Community Hub;
  • Young Rural Fire Brigade;
  • Zac’s Place Inc Australia; and
  • Boorowa Central School NSW DEC.

“Everyone is looking forward to next year’s event.

“Boorowa Central School has already signed on for next, with Hilltops Community Hub, Zac’s Place and the RFS unit.

We’ve already decided the date - 13 December 2025.”

SSSMC turned five last week, and Vinnie said the highlight was how much the group had grown, not only size but scope.

“We’re grateful for the ongoing support from the local community,” Vinnie said.

“We had a few hundred people waiting for us, donations were coming in left, right and centre.”

“It’s just good to be able to help the community and to knock away some of the stigma around people in leather on motorbikes. The amount of money we’ve been able to donate is in the tens of thousands of dollars.”

The next local event for SSSMC will be the Can Assist Harden run on January 25, 2025.
