Lions Quilt Show On This Weekend
Young Town Hall will come alive with quilts and textile art this weekend with the annual Lions Quilt Show.
The annual Lions Quilt Show will take place this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, May 18 and 19.
It is a week earlier than usual, but will be full of all the excitement the event has become known for.
Community quilters have entered their beautiful quilts to show off their skill and creativity.
This year’s Quilt Show will be officially opened by Canberra’s well-known quilter and textile artist Jenny Bowker at 12 noon on Saturday.
Stallholders from Canberra, Wagga and Young will share their tips, hints and upcoming projects with creative quilters.
Purchase some raffle tickets across the weekend and be in the chance to win numerous prizes.
The raffle will be drawn at 2 pm on Sunday, May 19.
Add to that a lucky spot prize and workshops that are sure to filled with secrets to make your next quilting adventure even better.
The Lions Quilt Show will take place at Young Town Hall between 10 am and 4:30 pm on Saturday and 10 am to 3 pm on Sunday.
Entry costs $5 per person 16 years and over.
