Make A Difference - Become A Volunteer

Do you enjoy spending time with older people? Are you a good listener, compassionate and caring?

Consider joining the team of volunteers at Southern Cross Care (SCC) Residential Aged Care Young helping older people lead lives of meaning and purpose and assisting them to feel supported and cared for.

SCC needs volunteers to assist in meeting the emotional, social and spiritual needs of the residents, especially during the present time.

They would appreciate anyone willing to help out for an hour once a week just to visit one or two residents.

No particular training is required at the moment but will be available in due course to those wishing to undertake training.

Current requirements include:

• Police check through Services NSW;
• Application form;
• Orientation;
• Flu vaccination; and
• Adherence to COVID restrictions (ie. vaccinations, RATs, mask, social distances, hand hygiene).
