One lady who knows all about problem solving and also has a love of retail, is Melissa Burt.
Being no stranger to the world of fashionable goods, first managing the Mathers Shoe store, then opening the Rivers store as Manager, she commenced operations and opened DCF Designer Window Dressings in May 2004.
The love of fabrics and materials started with Melissa growing up with her mother operating a patchwork, quilting and embroidery business. Melissa has taken this knowledge and made the natural move into the tailor made business.
Offering curtains, blinds and a full service interior window dressing operation, she prides herself on giving the client their dream windows.
“Every house I walk into, and windows I see, I treat it like my own home,” said Melissa.
“Using their own style choices and desires, I put together the best outcome and design options for my clients.“
Together with her husband, they are both 100% active in their business. The duo do all the measuring, creating and installing.
“We take everything into consideration for the client,” explains Melissa. “When someone comes in with an idea we find a solution, a flair for their own style and we deliver it.”
