Young Society of Artists Inc. members are busy planning what they hope to be a post-COVID program for term one 2022.

The program will include regular exhibitions in Burrangong Gallery housed in the Young Visitors Centre, the 14th Annual Lambing Flat Sculpture Wood & Big Art Exhibition in the Young Town Hall in March and adult workshops in February. All activities will have COVID protocols in place.

The Summertime exhibition HOT & STEAMY is now open in Burrangong Gallery until the 5th of March. This exhibition will be followed by Small Paintings and Works on Paper.

Entry forms for the Annual Lambing Flat Sculpture Wood & Big Art Exhibition is open to all artists across the regions. This is a non-competitive exhibition with no limit to the size of artworks, its aim is to provide an opportunity for artists to display their larger art works across all mediums. Entry forms are located at the Southern Cross Cinema, Young Visitors Centre, Young Town Hall or contact 0431 258 832 for a copy to be sent.

The workshops planned for February are fully booked however a waiting list is in place in case of cancelations or for names to be placed on the contact list for future workshops.

Future workshop information can be found on the Young Society of Artists Inc. Facebook page.

The art room will be open from 11am till 2.30pm over the coming weeks, then from the 14th of February the art room will remain open from 11am-7pm. Newcomers are welcome.

The Young Society of Artists Inc. are looking forward to being a part of the all-new Hilltops Off the Beaten Track Art & Cultural Trail from the 9th-23rd of March 2022. The information for this event will be launched mid-February as a major part of the autumn calendar by Hilltops Tourist Office and proudly supported by Hilltops Arts, Young Society of Artists & Southern Tablelands Arts.

This is an opportunity for Hilltops to shine, with the aim to showcase the very vibrant art & cultural communities throughout the Hilltops, and to promote movement around the Hilltops by tourists, visitors and locals alike.
