Bribbaree Show Society is participating in the ‘No Show Scarecrow’ movement this October, after the annual Show had to be cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The 94th annual Bribbaree Show was due to be held on Saturday the 3rd of October, but like many agricultural shows across New South Wales, had to be cancelled due to health and safety concerns and social distancing restrictions surrounding the coronavirus pandemic.
Bribbaree Show Society Secretary Emma Whitechurch said, “In conjunction with the Agricultural Societies Council of NSW Ltd, the Bribbaree Show, along with many others across the state, are participating in ’No Show Scarecrow’ for the month of October to acknowledge the cancellation of shows and show solidarity and support for each other.”
“This is a wonderful visual reminder that each show is part of a bigger picture and community. Our scarecrows, lovingly constructed by Bribbaree Show Society committee members, can be found hanging out the Bribbaree sign in the village,” said Emma.
The No Show Scarecrows will be on display in Bribbaree throughout the month of October.
