Hilltops COVID-19 vaccination rates are on par, if not better, than the NSW average.

After 10 weeks of lockdown for NSW residents, the jury is still out on how the Hilltops will be impacted by COVID-19 outbreaks.

Politicians, health officials and NSW Police advise that vaccination is the best way forward.

Statistics show all three postcode areas have 30 to 39% of residents fully vaccinated.

31.48% of the state is vaccinated.

8,000-8,999 vaccinations have been delivered in the Young area population of 9,188 residents.

The percentage of those that were first doses is 50 to 59%.

6,000-6,999 residents aged over 50 have been vaccinated, and 2,000 to 2,999 residents under 50 have been vaccinated.

2,000-2,999 vaccinations have been delivered in the Boorowa area population of 2,149 residents.

The percentage of those that were first doses is 60 to 69%.

1,000-1,999 residents aged over 50 have been vaccinated, and 1,000 residents under 50 have been vaccinated.

2,000-2,999 vaccinations have been delivered in the Harden area population of 2,291 residents.

The percentage of those that were first doses is 60 to 69%.

1,000-1,999 residents aged over 50 have been vaccinated, and 1,000 residents under 50 have been vaccinated.

Both Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines are available throughout the Hilltops. COVID-19 positive case numbers are rising in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT), with risks from Temora and Central Western NSW also posing a threat to the area.

The wearing of masks outside is now mandatory, unless you’re doing vigorous exercise or have a medical condition that prevents that. Those not abiding to the rule risk a $5,000 fine.

QR code COVIDsafe check-in is also essential.
