Playing Ditch Weight

The rain during the week prevented any play on Thursday.

Play on Saturday was conducted in cool but pleasant conditions.

There were 18 players involved with three games of pairs and one game of triples.

Vic Brown and Peter Watts won the vouchers for the day with their convincing 30–13 win in their game.

In the other pairs games Allan Langford and Cliff Traynor won 22–9 and Les Fanning and Mark Brownlie won 24–13.

The triples game saw a 20–14 win for Harold Anderson, Albert Carter and Joe Bargwanna.

The draws for the Minor Singles and Mixed Pairs Championships are on display at the club.

The first games in the Mixed Pairs are scheduled for Saturday 15th June with further games to be played on Sunday 16th.
