The two hottest days for the month so far were on Thursday (34 degrees) and Saturday (33 degrees) and it was quite humid on both days.

Twenty players were involved on Thursday and four of the five games had very small winning margins.

Albert Carter and Colin Stokell won their game 20–19, Joe Read and John Cooper won their game 22–21, Steve Walsh and Russell Boyd were winners 20–19 and Brian Christie and Colin Chapman won 18–16.

The exception, and voucher winners, were Brian McNair and Greg Woods with a winning score of 27–13.

There were 18 players for Saturday and this number of players pushed the jackpot for the day to $502. It will be higher this weekend because it was not won on Saturday.

The vouchers for the highest winning margin went to Brian Christie and Brian Madden who won their game by 13 shots.

Other winning pairs teams and their margins were Steve Walsh and Darryle Miller with a margin of 6 shots and Chris Wright and Vic Brown who won by the same margin.

In the triples game an extra end was required to find a winner when the score was 18-all after 21 ends. Albert Carter, Ted Loader and Glen Benson won the measure on the extra end to win the game by 1 shot.

Players are reminded that entries for the Club Fours Championship close on Saturday 27th January with the first round games to be played on Saturday 3rd February.

Thanks to those members of the club who have assisted with top–dressing of Green 1 and Green 3 your work is much appreciated.
